Research Description
My research is focused on giving metaphysical explanations of the social world, in particular social norms. One of the important questions I have been trying to answer is this: can social norms provide genuine reasons for action, and how are these reasons justified (compared to moral reasons, for example)? Additionally, I have spent time examining the grounding and necessitation relation in moral and social contexts. My research, in general, is concerned with normativity and its foundations, especially in a social context.
